A Mac capable of displaying at least 256 colours on a monitor with a minimum resolution of 640x480.
4 Mb of free memory.
System 7.0 and sound manager 3.0 or above.
The application is a fat binary and so will run optimised on Power PC's and 68k macs.
The recommended minimum specification is Power PC. But it should run on fast 68040 machines. We are particularly interested in results from 68k machine owners (even if it's just to say it works).
Notes about the demo
This demo has been released in beta form in order for a few people to play it and give us bug reports and comments. It has been restricted in the following ways:
1/ Only 256 colour art at 640x480 resolution is available. The full version has 800x600 and 1024x768 resolutions at thousands of colours.
2/ Only the lowest sound quality is available 8 bit 22k data at 6:1 compresion. The full version has 8 bit 3:1, 8 bit uncompressed and 16 bit 22k uncompressed. The 6:1 data in this demo sounds fuzzy but will fit on most macs.
3/ The demo only plays for 60's.
4/ The demo has no music. The music is real 44k 16 bit stereo audio tracks recorded on the cd, and adds a totally different dimension to the program. It was written and recorded by Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers) and Bruce Foxton (ex The Jam now Stiff Little Fingers).
5/ There is only on viewing angle available. The final version comes with 6 viewing angles including angles with a backbox.
